It began with jokes. It ended somewhere more unsettling. The epilogue whacked me upside the head good and proper, and it still stings....

Scenario, as I described it then: A few thoughts were chasing each other around about the aftermath of Broken Circle, if you were playing as a mage and had Alistair along. My own mage didn't do things in quite this fashion -- in fact, she took Jowan up on his offer before they even got to the Tower -- but I started to wonder how things might have fallen out otherwise... and exactly how complicated it all might be between her and Alistair, just beneath the surface.
